About the CopyBard
Laura Ranieri is an RSVP award-winning, Toronto-based writer with more than 15 years of experience in agencies and companies. A versatile communications expert with proven talent in creative concept development and a keen ability to simplify and invigorate complex content. Her agency experience includes: The Cohen Group, Communique, Rapp Collins Draft Worldwide and The St. John Group. She has also held senior writer positions at both Zurich Financial and Markel Insurance. Her educational background is broad. Laura is a scholarship award-winning honours graduate of University College’s English and drama program U of T. From there, she went on to do a year of radio broadcasting at Humber College (where everyone called her “Shakespeare” and told her to go to CBC.) Her first real job was editorial assistant at the prestigious CBC National Newsroom, running scripts to Mansbridge and closed captioning. Her first agency job was managing public relations for technology accounts at The Cohen Group. When she is not, copywriting, the CopyBard is songwriting, leading a songwriting association—and performing and pitching her songs in the new country AC music industry in Canada and the US. |
